I made a few onesies with drawings I did, using sublimation :D. Love doing the sublimation part, seeing the art transfer onto the clothing! The hard part is thinking about what to draw!
Quick steps on how to do sublimation on clothing:
- Create your artwork.
- Print it on sublimation paper with inkjet printer that has sublimation inks (mirror the art).
- Take out your polyester onesie (sublimation works only on polyester cloth (at least 60% seems like), and use a lint roller to clean up the onesie (Important! because even if it looks clean to your naked eye, there’s small particles that if you don’t clean up, it will turn into blue specks after you heat press it).
- Lay the printed sublimation paper face-down on the onesie and use a heat press for about 45sec at 400°.
